Arrival and Opening
The afternoon is a time to relax and connect with each other and the land. We make creative name tags and portfolios for our drawings. After dinner we have a contemplative through the Woodland Sanctuary and Labyrinth. We drift off to bed in our own time after a gentle opening drawing session.
Diving Inward Through Touch Drawing
In the course of the week, we focus on personal, interpersonal and transpersonal levels in our drawing sessions. These photos here were taken during various drawing sessions.
Reflective Time
Gentle movement, rest times and gaining insight into our drawings through writing.
Witnessing
Deep time with partners to share our Touch Drawing journeys
Sharing Inner Portraits
We meet in the Woodland Sanctuary for an afternoon of soulful stories. Sitting with our Inner Portrait partner, each shows a drawing their partner had created for them. One of the fruits of this time is a growing trust in our intuition.
Silent Day
After the intense focus of the first two days, we are ready to let go into silence and nature. We have the choice to remain at the retreat center or walk and draw on beautiful Maxwelton beach. In the mid-afternoon, we meet in the Sanctuary in silence. With writing, colored silks and movement, we reflect upon our drawings.
Mounting and Coloring
After our silent day, we break into joyous play through enriching our drawing with color. Itis a way to spend deeper time with a single image and bring it more fully into form.
Labyrinth
On this day we expand our focus beyond the personal to the planetary. After a group attunement, we each walk the labyrinth in our own time. When we arrive at the center, all the materials are there for us to sit and draw.
Celebrational Portraits
After mining our depths we we emit a radiance that rises from our source. One of our rituals is to take a photo of each participant the record this moment.
Dancing and Drumming
This evening we enter the pulse of the drum and open to the embodiment of our intentions through movement.
Closure and Integration
On our final afternoon we have a process of closure and envisioning how we will integrate the expereince into our lives. Cleaning our meeting hall and art materials is part of the process. Then we make our way to Maxwelton beach for a picnic dinner. We linger through sunset with beach walks, conversation and joyous drumming. The following morning everyone is invited to my home for a wonderful breakfast gathering. thise who can, allow time to enjoy our seaside village before departing.
