International Expressive Art Therapy Association Conference 2017

Transformation, Social Justice and Social Change

The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA) and the Winnipeg Holistic Expressive Arts Therapy Institute (WHEAT) collaborated to co-host the IEATA 12th Biennial Conference. It was held in Winnipeg, Canada, traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Nehiyawak/Ininowak, Dakotah and the Homeland of the Metis Nations. This was a groundbreaking opportunity to dialogue, create, and celebrate our Indigenous roots and move forward collaboratively to promote healing through the arts. Find out more about the conference.

Deborah created these Touch Drawings while listening to the plenary presentations. Enlarge the image to see the name of the person during whose talk it was drawn, and to order a signed fine art print. A portion of proceeds from sale will be donated to IEATA.
